Good evening to you, connoisseurs of beauty!
The cycle of posts about the creation of the Metamorphoses collection continues, and today we will share the secrets of modeling.
The work of the model is actually not as simple as it seems by viewing the beautiful end result. You need to sit still for long periods time: slow shutter speeds require it. The position of the body should remain unchanged. The pose, from frame to frame, should be as congruent as possible.
As we have already said, it is exceedingly difficult to breathe under the turban. And because of the closed face, disorientation, even vertigo can occur. And when this happens, the model's body begins to feel oddly different and may begin to wiggle, thus blurring the frame.
Therefore, frequent breaks are vital.
But what we haven't mentioned is that the whole team, except for the model, works in feather-down jackets. It is especially hot wearing the turban under the spotlights. For this reason, the air conditioner operates on maximum for the entire day of shooting.
Of course, the whole team cannot escape without catching a cold.
Our task is to work as quickly as possible so that the model does not get too tired. Otherwise, it will immediately affect the quality of the picture. No matter how strange it may sound (after all, we do not see the face under the turban), the fatigue of the model is immediately noticeable in the frame.
Shooting must be curtailed once we've understood that the model is tired. If we did not have time to shoot all the material planned for a particular character, we will return to where we left off on another day.
And this means that the whole process of the shooting day is repeated exactly, to the smallest detail.
