يا عبد الله، خف ذنوبك، وخف عدل الله عليك في مظالم عباده، وأطعه فيما كلفك، ولا تعصه فيما يصلحك ، ثم لا تخف الله بعد ذلك ، فإنه لا يظلم أحدا ولا يعذبه فوق استحقاقه أبدا، إلا أن تخاف سوء العاقبة بأن تغير أو تبدل، فإن أردت أن يؤمنك الله سوء العاقبة ، فاعلم أن ما تأتيه من خير فبفضل الله وتوفيقه، وما تأتيه من سوء فبإمهال الله وإنظاره إياك وحلمه عنك.
