A retired police K9 is about to embark on an important new assignment. Earlier this week K9 Indy retired from Police Department in Trophy club Texas. His partner police sergent Barry Sullivan, fought back tears as a dispatchers listed Indy's many accomplishments in his dash cam video that has since got viral. The German shepherd helped seize more than four pounds of fentalyn, apprehend 44 criminals and found more than three hundred thousand dollars of drug money. Sullivan says Indy has settled nicely  into retirement, stealing meat balls of the kitchen table but he's about to be busy again. My wife and I expecting in September, so he has gone from community protector from chasing bad guys and finding drugs to being our home protector.
