🔸PFAS is a chemical that doesn't break down. Amara Strande is a person who believes be PFAS costs her life spending her remaining life trying to rescue others. PFAS is found in today's products such as non-stick cookware and Cosmetics which is related to health issues. Amara is 20 year old dying of liver cancer. Minnesota's new law will decrease or eliminate non-essential PFAS products buy 2032. She caused lawmakers to act against it.
The company, 3M, who is responsible for producing PFAS in Minnesota must stop it by the end of this year and must be 850 million dollars for PFAS cleanup. Now Minnesota has its PFAS law because she told her story well.
After two fights with cancer, she died before this bill became law. Mark strassman has her story.
