امر به سپاسگزاری پس از بیان نعمت، به این دلیل است که سپاسگزاری، نعمت‌های موجود را حفظ و نعمت‌های نیامده را می‌آورد، چنان‌که کفر نعمت‌های نیامده را دور می‌سازد و نعمت‌های موجود را از بین می‌برد. سعدی 81

پس از صرف غذا شکر اللّٰه تعالی را به جای بیاور، زیرا افراد بسیاری هستند که آرزوی داشتن غذایی مانند غذای تو را دارند اما آن را نمی‌یابند، سپاسگزاری عبادت است، پس بر انجام آن کوشا باش،
