Open Lesson on the Topic "Designing Leaflets" Held in Group XTA-BU-25 by Teacher Abdullayev Nurillo from the Department of English Language Teaching Methodology, Faculty of Languages and Translation, Namangan State Institute of Foreign Languages named after Is’hoqxon Ibrat.
The lesson was organized based on a student-centered method, with students actively participating. At the beginning of the lesson, a brief question-and-answer session was held to activate the students and stimulate their interest in the topic. This stage allowed students to get acquainted with each other, exchange ideas, and prepare for the lesson.
The subsequent Warm-up Activity helped students to focus and direct their attention to the lesson. Through this activity, students reinforced key concepts related to the topic and developed their communication skills.
During the session, students gained extensive and in-depth knowledge about how to select handout materials for practical lessons, ensuring they are appropriate for the students' knowledge level and age, as well as the principles of designing handouts. Students learned about the importance of handout materials for practical lessons and their impact on making lessons engaging and comprehensible.
Pedagogical approaches used during the lesson:
Ice-breaker – to activate students and prepare them for the lesson;
Warm-up Activity – to reinforce key concepts related to the topic;
Classroom Activity – to develop practical skills through individual and group work;
Group Work – to develop collaboration and communication skills within the group.
