أفاد مصدر أمني بأن قوات إدارة الأمن العام التابعة لوزارة الداخلية السورية ألقت القبض على العميد عاطف نجيب الذي شغل منصب رئيس فرع الأمن السياسي بدرعا في عهد نظام الرئيس المخلوع بشار الأسد.
وقد تم اعتقال نجيب، وهو ابن خالة بشار الأسد، خلال حملة أمنية لملاحقة فلول النظام في محافظة اللاذقية.
