بارها نوشته‌ام که کاهش سن ازدواج و بردن یک پدیده اجتماعی سترگ نزد کودکان بویژه سنین زیر هجده‌سال یعنی افزایش دامنه تجاوزگری و مشروعین بخشیدن به تجاوز زیر نام ازدواج، ازدواج زودهنگام، کودک‌همسری و ازدواج اجباری است. بنظرمن هیچیک از عبارت‌های مذکور بیانگر عمق آسیب اجتماعی و انسانی نیست که بنام ازدواج، مشارکت قانونگذار، خانواده طرفین بویژه دختران کودک‌سال و متجاوزی بنام شوهر نیست و نخواهد بود.
کاهش سن ازدواج و تنفیذ و مشروعیت بخشیدن به تجاوز به کودکان، باید اخلاق‌زدایی شده و قداست آن دور ریخته شود. این گفتگو قریب ۱۵ سال پیش صورت گرفته که نظر به اهمیت و بقای این مسیله آنرا بازنشر می‌دهم.
