این اثر چنگ‌نوازی زیبا، اجرایی است از قدیمی‌ترین قطعه موسیقی نت‌نگاری شده ایرانی توسط علامه قطب الدین شیرازی، فیلسوف، منجم و ریاضی‌دان قرن ۷ هجری، که صاحب یکی از مهمترین شرحها بر کتاب حکمت الاشراق شیخ شهاب‌الدین سهروردی نیز هست. هرچند سبک نت‌نگاری قطب‌الدین شیرازی در موسیقی متاسفانه مرسوم نشد و ما بعدها سبک غربی نت‌نگاری را کپی‌برداری کردیم، اما این غفلت ما از سنت غنی گذشتگانمان چیزی از ارزش آن نمی‌کاهد. همین بی‌توجهی ما به جنبه‌های غنی سنتمان است که باید اجرای این اثر را برای نخستین بار به دست نوازنده‌ای غیرایرانی شاهد باشیم!
