📝 The rise of crime rates can be attributed to a wide range of recent developments. As the cost of living has spiraled out of control due to high inflation and taxes, many individuals, especially those from low-income and middle-class families, have faced mounting financial constraints, which have provoked a pervasive sense of desperation and hopelessness. Given these economic concerns, it comes as no surprise that many now feel compelled to commit crimes like burglaries and frauds to make ends meet and provide for their families, thereby pushing their communities to descend into chaos and danger. A case in point is my country, Uzbekistan, where many people have no choice but to rack up debts and max out their credit cards to keep up with unbearable living expenses, in some cases resorting to illegal activities for survival and livelihood.
