💧 بر اساس تحقیقات سازمان فائو، برداشت آب به عنوان استخراج و مصرف آب شیرین از منابع آب زیرزمینی یا منابع سطحی (مانند دریاچه ها یا رودخانه ها) برای استفاده در مصارف کشاورزی، صنعتی یا خانگی تعریف می شود.
▫️ سرانه مصرف آب در ملت‌های مختلف (نسبت به جمعیت) بر اساس موقعیت جغرافیایی، نوع زندگی، فرهنگ‌ها و باورها بسیار متفاوت است. متاسفانه در منطقه خلیج فارس ایران بیشترین سرانه برداشت آب کلی (مصرف خانگی+کشاورزی+صنعتی) را دارد.
▫️ باتوجه به خشکالی و بحران آب در ایران، نیاز مبرم به تغییر الگوی مصرف به ویژه در بخش کشاورزی ایران که عموما با استانداردهای روز جهانی هماهنگ نیست، احساس می‌شود.
