subwayTube v2024.11.71 - a YouTube player powered by the zombie-like, but still alive Invidious
This release does not include any new features, but focuses on some improvements to the UI that were long overdue.
The settings menu now includes the custom server option in the serverlist dropdown and the buttons of the customserver stuff now match with the rest of the app. Should be much easier to understand than the previous list + extra button solution. The other buttons will probably follow soon.
The videoplayer now moves the channelicon, videotitle as well as the icons for following the channel, copying the link and downloading the video in the lower section IF the video is landscape and the phone is held in portrait mode. In any other case it will be part of the overlay as in the versions before.

In the screenshot below, it’s ”/catmarketing.” If your selected link is unavailable, you’ll need to suggest another option. To upload a logo, click the Menu icon and select “Manage Channel.” In a new window, hit the Camera icon. The group’s featured image is of a Pepe frog yelling, often referred to as the “REEEEEEE” meme. Pepe the Frog was created back in 2005 by Matt Furie and has since become an internet symbol for meme culture and “degen” culture.
