Так от, перекладачу є смисл спростити собі й редактору життя і давати іншомовні прізвища в називному відмінку. Тоді не треба морочитися зі статтю персонажів.
Замість писати в давально-родових відмінках «Щиро дякую таким-то» краще написати «Такі-то — щиро дякую вам».
Бо між Івліном Во, Вівьєном Лі й Іваном Ле легко заплутатися.
