Scientific research or no, it obviously feels good. The group also hosted discussions on committing arson, Judge Hui said, including setting roadblocks on fire, hurling petrol bombs at police stations and teaching people to make such weapons. The conversation linked to arson went on for two to three months, Hui said. “Hey degen, are you stressed? Just let it all out,” he wrote, along with a link to join the group. Ng was convicted in April for conspiracy to incite a riot, public nuisance, arson, criminal damage, manufacturing of explosives, administering poison and wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm between October 2019 and June 2020. As five out of seven counts were serious, Hui sentenced Ng to six years and six months in jail.
