Remote Principal DevOps Engineer

Full-www.tgoop.com/ Company: Lincoln Freedom Group

We are seeking an experienced Principal DevOps Engineer to join an innovative profitable private telecommunications company in the Pacific Time Zone.

We’re looking for someone with significant hands-on experience building out Openstack and Kubernetes clusters on bare metal hardware. Rather than building ON the cloud, we are looking for someone experienced with BUILDING the cloud.

You will lead and mentor the team in infrastructure deployment best practices, develop, test, and implement complex automation solutions, and work to improve gaps in documentation.

You will design and build microservice solutions using RESTful APIs as well as CI/CD pipelines.

The stack includes Ansible, Kubernetes (k8s), Openstack, Terraform, and Python, and knowledge in IP Networking, Ethernet, and Routing and Switching would be a big plus.

Workplace culture is outstanding. You will be trusted by default to meet your commitments and not be micromanaged. There is a single 15 minute camera off standup meeting per day, and a short sprint planning meeting every 2 weeks.

The members of your team are competent, friendly, and easy to work with. Leadership is extremely technical and will consider any recommendation you have to make things better. There is a strong emphasis on open source and an active effort to move away from commercial software wherever possible.

This position is an opportunity for you to contribute to high visibility, high impact projects for a company which is an innovator and leader in their space.

The interview process is simple; two, maximum three video calls with the hiring managers.

To apply, please send along your resume and a letter about your experience to us via email.
