Role:

As a Data Engineer on the networks team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal tools for collecting staking rewards data from multiple blockchains. Your work will support internal and external customer reporting, and you’ll play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

- Implement a data pipeline that ingests rewards, pricing and commercial contract data. Ensure data quality via automated test suites.
- Develop utilities, such as a calculator for Chorus’ total stake based on the multiple nodes and networks we operate.
- Develop and maintain an internal user interface (dashboard) for the presentation and analysis of company revenue data, validator performance data and rewards reporting data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver on business requirements.
- Continuously evaluate new tools and vendors to ensure we have good rewards data coverage of the networks we validate.

Job requirements

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Prior experience with Python, REST APIs
Preferably experience with at least one statically typed language, such as Rust or Go
Experience with SQL, preferably PostgreSQL
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI/Tableau is a plus
Knowledge of proof of stake protocols, and the financial aspects of the Staking industry
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
