The "don't judge" crowd. You probably know a person or two expressing this view. It's often a signal to a speaker that the audience is OK with anything, regardless of how nonsensical the message could be. It's a progressive form of prayer inviting anti-rational gods. It's an idea, that assigns equal weight to anybody who can open a mouth, on the basis that every opinion ought to be respected. Nothing could be further from the truth. The "don't judge" approach is intellectually dishonest at best and a fraud at worst.

We're not a plant-based biological marvel. Humans, as a species, evolved having a brain and a neurological system. Throughout history and evolution, we used these faculties. We had to determine if an animal presented a danger. We had to judge if a stranger was to be trusted, if a particular fruit is poisonous, and so on. Those who made bad judgments quickly departed to a better world. Those who remained learned and passed the knowledge to future generations. We still have to evaluate anything and everything in the modern society. Even the “don’t judge” people do. The costs of mistakes will probably not threaten one's survivorship, but will result in inferior outcomes. "Cogito, ergo sum" is the "first principle" of René Descartes's philosophy, translated to English as, "I think, therefore I am". Judging is a form of thinking. Are those declaring "we don't judge" publicly admitting to being non-thinking (and by extension not living) organisms? I doubt it. Hence, it's a fraud. It's a dishonest pretend that the emotional well-being of a narrator supersedes that of the quality of the narrative. A truth seeker shouldn't be afraid to upset the "philosopher" with rational criticism.

All sorts of bullshit Ideas that should've been squashed by a tiny application of rational judgment and critical thinking were allowed to proliferate unchecked by a "don't judge" team. If this approach is taken to its logical conclusion, we'll end up with Flat Earthers chairing geographical departments and anti-vaxxers running medical boards.

The modus operandi should be - we judge, but tolerate within reason.
