Microsoft: Run PS script now if you deleted "inetput" on Windows 11, Windows 10
Inetpub folder can be restored when you turn on the IIS service, or you can also use a new PowerShell script released this week.
Is it possible, to we can have two or multiple Windowses focused at the same time?
Just asking, if it is possible :D (for experimenting and test purposes only)

Create a Sleep keyboard shortcut?
One laptop has a keyboard shortcut for Sleep using the F1 key (with the Z^z icon) , that another laptop lacks.
Is there any software that can create a keyboard shortcut to replicate this? Thanks.

Explorer Search History Drop-down?
Does anyone know why the search history for the Explorer Drop-down search box wouldn't be working? The box never fills in or drops down for any previous search queries, I had used that a lot previously and it's a bit of a major annoyance.
All of the settings for it are enabled, and I even tried uninstalling Open Shell to no avail...
Thanks.

Switching c drives of 2 desktop computer s
There are 2 differnt desktop computers from Dell and hp. Both have windows 10 pro installed and licensed. I need to move dell's c drive to hp one, and vice versa. Would the windows of both computers still ask to activate the windows since the motherboards have different keys? Just need to make sure beforehand. Thanks in advance.

A PowerShell window flashes briefly, and many instances of PowerShell appear in Task Manager. What could be causing this? It started happening after I upgraded my CPU.

Win 26100.4202 all of a sudden prefers an IPv6 DNS
Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing a new issue with my Windows 11 (24H2 build 4202). As of a few days ago, it seems to have changed its DNS server preference, now prioritizing an IPv6 address (
Here's the problem:
The `fe80::` address points to my router, even though IPv6 is disabled on the router itself. I assume the router is forwarding these requests upstream instead of using my local Pi-hole (which is set as the IPv4 DNS on the router).
This IPv6 DNS address was always present as "Server 3" in `ipconfig /all`, but it was never actively used until now.
My wife's Windows 11 laptop (same DHCP assignments, but ARM64) still shows the IPv6 DNS as the last in its
I'm running a Pi-hole on my internal network over IPv4, and I explicitly do not want IPv6. This change is preventing my Windows machine from reaching my internal network (which the Pi-hole handles resolution for). This was working perfectly just a few days ago. I strongly suspect a recent cumulative update is the cause.
Is there any way to change the DNS preference order in Windows 11 to prioritize IPv4, or ideally, remove the IPv6 DNS entry completely? Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Runnung 16 bit games
I have a bunch of old games I wanted to run (math blaster, reader rabbit, jump start, etc).
It seems that Winevdm is a popular emulator for running 16 bit games. Does anyone know if this would be the right one for these types of games?

Migrating a C drive with programs intalled in D and E drives
Hi, I have windows installed on a hdd and was looking to upgrade it to a m.2 pcie as my new boot drive. Most of my programs are intalled on my D and E drives, which are ssd.
My question is, if I migrate my windows install from my C drive to the new drive, probably called F, will I have to reinstall the programs installed on the ssd or will they recognize the new drive as the old/same drive without issue? Also, if I rename the drive later to C instead of whatever name it was assigned when plugged in, will everything be ok?
I'm not sure if this is the correct sub for this question but most of the google searches took me here, so I thought it was a good place to start. Thank you in advance.
