Need guidance with new Windows license: Can't buy Windows 11
I have always had my Windows license as an OEM version with my desktop/laptop or got it free with my custom builds. Now I am trying to build a new desktop and, since I am changing my motherboard, I thought of purchasing a new Windows license. From what I read, if I change my motherboard, I need to get a new Windows license. However, I'm having trouble purchasing one. The website does not allow me to buy a new version. As far as I remember, I always had a Windows license with a pre-built desktop or a laptop or they gave it to me when I got a custom build in a shop (those were quite a while back). Does the OEM license transfer automatically? I do not think so. I have had multiple desktops/laptops linked to my email address/Microsoft account. They are just not allowing me to buy a new license.
