Primakov Youth Readings. Day 2

Today, participants of the Youth Session of the Primakov Readings moved from IMEMO to the Primakov Center, where the second day of the program took place.

🔵 "Knowledge is the New Oil? The Economy in the Age of Data and Innovation"

Petr Kalmykov, PhD in History, Deputy First Vice-Rector of the Lomonosov MSU–BNU Joint University in Shenzhen, spoke about how economic realities are being reshaped by algorithms and big data. He also highlighted the role of the Joint University in strengthening international cooperation in high-tech sectors.

🔵"Closing the Cycle: Nuclear Technologies and Global Development"

Konstantin Bogdanov, PhD in Engineering, Head of the Sector for Strategic Analysis and Forecasting at IMEMO, and Ruslan Mamedov, Scientific Advisor of the Primakov Center and Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies, RAS Institute of Oriental Studies, discussed the role of nuclear energy in the global agenda, its potential contribution to the green transition, and the challenges it poses for international security systems.

After a full day of discussions, participants enjoyed a walking tour of Moscow — exploring the city’s history, architecture, and main landmarks.
