📍ال VAPT و PenTesting عبارة عن إختبارات أمنية تستخدم لتحليل وتقييم الثغرات الأمنية في النظام، لكن هناك بعض الإختلافات بين الاثنين:
1️⃣ الفرق الرئيسي بين VAPT و PenTesting هو الهدف الرئيسي، فهدف VAPT هو تحليل وتقييم الثغرات الأمنية الحالية واقتراح إجراءات تحسينية لتحسين أمن النظام، بينما يهدف PenTesting إلى تحري هذه الثغرات واستغلالها للدخول إلى النظام بغرض تثبيت فعالية الدفاعات الأمنية.
2️⃣ اختبار "VAPT" يشمل عدة أنواع من الاختبارات الأمنية مثل Vulnerability Assessment و Penetration Testing و Security Audit، بينما يركز PenTesting على اختبارات الإختراق فقط.
3️⃣ في VAPT يتم تخطيط العملية بدقة وتلقي العميل تقريراً تفصيلياً عن الثغرات وسبل إصلاحها، بينما يعتمد PenTesting على المرونة حيث لا يتم تخطيط العملية بدقة.
