It is hard to imagine that the main building of our university once housed a military hospital, the windows of the Chemical Building were taped crosswise with paper ribbons, and a two-metre shell crater gaped in the place of a cosy park alley.

In our hurry to go about our business, we pass by monuments, memorial plaques and rarely think about what they symbolise and what they can tell us about.

In our university there are many places connected with the Great Patriotic War.

What events took place here in those distant years? These questions are answered by the video blog ‘The Memory of Glory is Alive’ and its host Egor Bredikhin, a student of IMMiT SPbPU.

Pepe the Frog was created back in 2005 by Matt Furie and has since become an internet symbol for meme culture and “degen” culture. Image: Telegram. For crypto enthusiasts, there was the “gm” app, a self-described “meme app” which only allowed users to greet each other with “gm,” or “good morning,” a common acronym thrown around on Crypto Twitter and Discord. But the gm app was shut down back in September after a hacker reportedly gained access to user data. Although some crypto traders have moved toward screaming as a coping mechanism, several mental health experts call this therapy a pseudoscience. The crypto community finds its way to engage in one or the other way and share its feelings with other fellow members.
