Attention! Beware of Phone Scammers
We are warning about the increased activity of phone scammers, especially through messengers, as well as the use of neural networks and artificial intelligence tools.
Methods used by scammers:
🔺They send malicious links and call on behalf of banks, demanding that you provide an SMS code.
🔺They make calls and send messages through messengers (Telegram, WhatsApp, and others).
🔺They create fake accounts, videos with full voice and image impersonation, pretending to be university rectors, institute directors, or employees of law enforcement agencies (FSB, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rosfinmonitoring, and others).
If you have doubts about the authenticity of the interlocutor:
🔺Stop the conversation or correspondence with the unknown user.
🔺Report the situation to your supervisor or teacher.
🔺Verify the identity of the contact: if the caller or sender claims to be someone you know, contact them using a known phone number.
Stay vigilant! Do not engage with scammers!
