دانشگاه صنعتی اصفهان در راستای تعهد خود به آموزش فیزیک‌پیشگان آینده کشور و بویژه آشنا کردن دانشجویان با الفبای پژوهش در فیزیک، برای سومین سال،مدرسه افق‌های نو در فیزیک را برگزار می‌نماید.
در این مدرسه، دانشجویان کارشناسی با طیف وسیعی از موضوعات بروز فیزیک آشنا شده، با انجام پژوهش‌های کوچک که رویکرد آموزشی دارند، نسبت به روند کار علمی در این زمینه‌ها شناخت مناسبی پیدا می‌کنند.
دانشجویان برتر کشور در سالهای دوم و سوم کارشناسی فیزیک (و بعضی رشته‌های مرتبط بصورت موردی) پس از ثبت‌نام توسط کمیته برگزاری انتخاب شده و هزینه مدرسه بعنوان جایزه از طرف برگزار‌کنندگان پرداخت می‌شود.
