29 декабря 1969 года «за большие достижения в космонавтике, героический подвиг по освоению космического пространства на космическом корабле «Восток-2» и в ознаменование посещения Г. С. Титовым г. Южно-Сахалинска» ему было присвоено звание «Почётный гражданин города Южно-Сахалинска».
