Нравится, с какой болезненной теплотой Джеймс Грэй уже второй фильм подряд рассказывает про отцов, забывших свою семью, и про сыновью боль быть забытым своим отцом. Поразительный мужик. Ему надо бы подружиться с Деброй Граник (Зимняя кость, Не оставляй следа), у них очень много общего касательно тургеневского вопроса отцов и детей.
И до конца не ясно, какой из фильмов - Ad Astra или Затерянный город - более печальный и/или обнадеживающий. У них разные углы - отцовский в джунглях, и сыновий в космосе, но одинако терпкий вкус, что все мы так или иначе - дети на обочине мира.
Лично мне как-то ближе "Затерянный город". Страсть героя Ханнэма найти ответ на несуществующий вопрос хотя бы не казалась такой агонизирующей.
