In Solidarity with the Prisoners of Ghezel Hesar – No to Execution!

The Islamic Republic believed that by expanding executions it could silence the people’s protests.
But today, from within those very cells of death, the call of “No to Execution!” has risen —
and the prisons themselves have become centers of resistance against the machinery of death.

Since October 13, 2025 (Mehr 21, 1404), the prisoners of Ghezel Hesar — initiators of the “Tuesdays for No to Execution” campaign — have gone on hunger strike.
Their courageous action has resonated widely across society.
Families of the prisoners have gathered in front of the prison and the parliament,
and prisoners in Evin, Rajaee Shahr, and other wards of Ghezel Hesar have joined in solidarity.

The call of “No to Execution” is the voice of families who have lost their loved ones;
the voice of the deprived, who have known nothing from this society but the gallows;
the voice of the protesters who refuse to accept bullets and ropes as an answer to their demands;
and the voice of grieving fathers and mothers who call for the complete abolition of the death penalty.

This strike is a voice for justice —
and supporting it is a human, social, and global duty.
The struggle to abolish the death penalty is a collective effort
to humanize our social order and to resist rulers
who seek to preserve their oppressive religious power by planting fear in people’s hearts.

With this joint and global call, we urge everyone to stand in solidarity with the hunger strike of the prisoners of Ghezel Hesar.
Together with them, we declare that all death sentences must be immediately revoked,
and that the death penalty must be abolished once and for all.
At the same time, we insist on the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners
and the end of state repression and violence.

From October 18 to 25,
in every place and in every possible way,
join the movement to support the Ghezel Hesar prisoners in their strike against executions.
On Tuesday, October 21, coinciding with the 91st week of “Tuesdays for No to Execution,”
we call on people around the world to participate in a global sit-in
against executions and in support of political prisoners.

By joining this global call,
let us strengthen the movement against executions in Iran,
and together, pave the way to stop the Islamic Republic’s killing machine
and to build a society free of gallows and the spectacle of death.
