👩👩👦 Ancient Mokshan ritual: when the child took first steps, parents have placed he/she in the middle of the table, ran a knife along the table near the legs & said: “I'm cutting the bonds.” After the child was given chewed grain – the Paksäva's blessing was given to him/her, so that the goddess of the fields would protect & give strength to grow. For the “cutting the bonds” ritual was often invited a lively neighbor boy that the child would grow up like him.
