نشأ مسلم في عائلة مجاهدة قارعت الاحتلال و النظام البائد ،اذ تم اعتقال والده و أعمامه في فترة النظام البائد بتهمة إقامة مجلس عزاء للإمام الحسين عليه (السلام).
مسلم أحب الشِعر ، عمِل موظفاً في وزارة العمل "ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة" و كان طالب في كلية الاعلام-المرحلة الثالثة.
