قال النووي -رحمه الله- في (المجموع): "ولو قرأ في الأولى [من صلاة الجمعة] غير الجمعة والمنافقين؛ قال أصحابنا: قرأ في الثانية السورتين، بخلاف ما لو ترك الجهر في الأوليين من العشاء لا يجهر في الأخريين؛ لأن السنة الإسرار في الأخريين، ولا يمكنه تدارك السنة الفائتة إلا بتفويت السنة المشروعة الآن، وأما هنا فيمكنه جمع السورتين بغير إخلال بسنة".
