مشكلة الشاي هي في رهافة حسِّه ورِقَّة قلبه التي تمنعك من الاستعانة به أحيانًا لضبط مزاجك، فإنا نشرب القهوة متى اشتهيناها في أي ظرف تُصَبُّ فيه، فلا يغلبها بلونه لطُغيان لونها، ولا ينفذ إلى جوهرها لكثافة حاجزها، ولسنا نُمْهِله ليحاول فيها، بل نسابقه بشربها.
فإذا طلبنا الشاي ولم نجد غير كوب الورق والبلاستيك، وغير فتلة لا تُدرى حقيقتها ولا حقيقة ما فيها؛ علمنا أن الكدر واقعٌ فيه، وأن استحالة لونه إلى لون الشمع حاصلة، وأن المرارة المركبة بالغةٌ جوفَه وغالبةٌ على نكهته وحلاوته لا محالة، وأنا نُنْظِرها لتفعل فعلها فيه مُرغَمين انتظارًا لتمام امتزاجه، واعتدال حرارته.
