Present Simple

We use it for habits, facts, and things that happen regularly.
🔹 Formula: Subject + verb (s/es)

🔸 Examples:

I play football every weekend.

She drinks coffee every morning.
🟡 Keywords: always, usually, every day, sometimes, never

Present Continuous

We use it for actions happening right now or around this time.
🔹 Formula: Subject + am/is/are + verb+ing

🔸 Examples:

I’m studying now.

They are playing outside.
🟡 Keywords: now, at the moment, right now

Past Continuous

An action that was happening at a specific time in the past.
🔹 Formula: Subject + was/were + verb+ing

🔸 Examples:

I was watching TV at 8pm.

They were studying when I arrived.

Past Simple

For actions that happened and finished in the past.
🔹 Formula: Subject + verb (past form)

🔸 Examples:

I visited Paris last year.

She cooked dinner yesterday.
🟡 Keywords: yesterday, last week, ago, in 2005

Future (will)

For things that will happen in the future.
🔹 Formula: Subject + will + verb

🔸 Examples:

I will travel tomorrow.

She will help you.

Present Perfect

For actions that happened in the past but have a result now.
🔹 Formula: Subject + have/has + past participle

🔸 Examples:

I have finished my homework.

She has visited London.
🟡 Keywords: just, already, yet, never, ever, since, for

Past Perfect

For two actions in the past. One happened before the other.
🔹 Formula: Subject + had + past participle

🔸 Examples:

I had eaten before he arrived.

She had left when I called her.

Passive Voice

Used when the action is more important than the person who did it.
🔹 Formula: Object + be (in correct tense) + past participle

🔸 Examples:

The cake was eaten.

English is spoken worldwide.

Question Tags

Short questions at the end of a sentence to check or confirm something.
🔹 Rules:
Positive sentence → negative tag
Negative sentence → positive tag

🔸 Examples:

You are a student, aren’t you?

She didn’t come, did she?

If Clauses (Conditionals)

🟡 If 1 – Real possibility (present/future):
If + present simple, will + verb

If it rains, we will stay home.

🟠 If 2 – Unreal or imaginary (present/future):
If + past simple, would + verb

If I won the lottery, I would travel.

🔴 If 3 – Impossible (past):
If + had + past participle, would have + past participle

If I had studied, I would have passed.

Negation

To say “no” or that something didn’t happen.
🔸 Examples:

I don’t like tea.

She didn’t go to the party.

He won’t come tomorrow.

Questions

Use question words to ask for information.
🔹 Common words: What, Where, When, Why, Who, How, Which

🔸 Examples:

What do you want?

Where are you going?

Did she call you?

Reported Speech

Used to tell someone what another person said (not exact words).
🔸 Example:

She said, “I’m tired.” → She said she was tired.

Comparatives & Superlatives

To compare things or show the best.

🔸 Examples:

This car is faster than that one.

He is the tallest in the class.

Gerunds & Infinitives

Gerund = verb + -ing | Infinitive = to + verb

🔸 Examples:

I enjoy reading.

I want to travel.

Countable & Uncountable Nouns

Countable = you can count (1, 2, 3...)
Uncountable = you can’t count (water, rice)

🔸 Countable example:

I have three apples.
🔸 Uncountable example:

I need some water.
