قال شيخ الإسلام :

وَالْقَوْمُ – يعني الرافضة - مِنْ أَكْذَبِ النَّاسِ فِي النَّقْلِيَّاتِ، وَمِنْ أَجْهَلِ النَّاسِ فِي الْعَقْلِيَّاتِ

يُصَدِّقُونَ مِنَ الْمَنْقُولِ بِمَا يَعْلَمُ الْعُلَمَاءُ بِالِاضْطِرَارِ أَنَّهُ مِنَ الْأَبَاطِيلِ.

وَيُكَذِّبُونَ بِالْمَعْلُومِ مِنَ الِاضْطِرَارِ الْمُتَوَاتِرِ أَعْظَمَ تَوَاتُرٍ فِي الْأُمَّةِ جِيلًا بَعْدَ جِيلٍ.

وَلَا يُمَيِّزُونَ فِي نَقَلَةِ الْعِلْمِ، وَرُوَاةِ الْأَحَادِيثِ ، وَالْأَخْبَارِ بَيْنَ الْمَعْرُوفِ بِالْكَذِبِ، أَوِ الْغَلَطِ، أَوِ الْجَهْلِ بِمَا يُنْقَلُ
وَبَيْنَ الْعَدْلِ الْحَافِظِ الضَّابِطِ الْمَعْرُوفِ بِالْعِلْمِ بِالْآثَارِ . ]
