" فإنا يحيط علمنا بأنبائكم ، ولا يعزب عنا شئ من أخباركم ، ومعرفتنا بالزلل الذي أصابكم ، مذ جنح كثير منكم إلى ما كان السلف الصالح عنه شاسعا ، ونبذوا العهد المأخوذ منهم وراء ظهورهم كأنهم لا يعلمون إنا غير مهملين لمراعاتكم ، ولا ناسين لذكركم ..."
