🇫🇷 DEFEND EUROPE mission Alps : General acquittal for Génération Identitaire!

On 21 April 2018, we had set up a symbolic border post at the Col de l'Échelle, a major crossing point for illegal migrants between Italy and France for several years. Two and a half years after our "Defend Europe" action in the Alps, we are finally acquitted. The victory in the appeal court is as striking as the sentences were severe in the first instance.

Let's recall that three activists had been sentenced to 6 months in prison, fines and deprivation of their civil and family rights.

As if that wasn't enough, our association was ordered to pay a fine of 75,000 €, which is the maximum penalty in our law code for this kind of accusations.

On appeal court, therefore, law prevailed instead of the preposterous accusations and animosity of the public prosecutor. We are not fooled: it was a matter of keeping the pressure on our movement as long as possible in the hope that this would discourage us.

The exact opposite happened. Today, the French know that with some will, it is possible to stop illegal immigration. The government knows that with Génération Identitaire its weakness will no longer go unnoticed.
