Last Update:
🇩🇪 On May 16th, Andreas Ziegler, member of the patriotic labor union 'Zentrum Automobil' in Stuttgart and active member of Daimler's work council was attacked by a group of 40 to 50 leftwing extremists, while being on his way to a demonstration against the gouverment measures concernig the coronavirus. After Andreas Ziegler had been beaten unconscious, one of the attackers put a gas pistol to his head and pulled the trigger. As of now, Andreas Ziegler has been in coma for over two weeks – still being in mortal danger.
Meanwhile, leftist unions under the umbrella organization „Deutsche Gewerkschaftsbund“ (DGB) continue to support violent left-wing extrejmists and even organize joint events. One of these events was a common demonstration in December 2019 themed „Zentrum Automobil zerschlagen“: smash Zentrum Automobil. This demand has been tooken literally – Andreas Ziegler suffered a fractured skull throughout the gunshot, making the state of coma necessary to provisionally save his life. For weeks, the DGB has established a wall of silence around this attack, hoping to sit out this new level of violence. Identitarian activists broke this wall and climbed onto the roof of the DGB headquarter in Stuttgart. On the roof, the activists hung a banner and poured red colour over the white fabric – symbolicaly bringing the blood of the victim back to those responsible. Highlighting the link between wealthy leftist workers unions and violent thugs, the bannerslogan states that leftist unions joined antifascists in pulling the trigger.
Left-wing extremism is not an issue that can be found in the ranks of antifa only. It is an issue which - disguised as the struggle for workers' rights - reached the centre of our society. The only difference between violent antifascists and union officials is who does the dirty work.
