-قال الحافظُ ابنُ حبّان: "...أظهر السُّنّة في بلده، ودَعا إليها، وذبّ عنْ حريمِها، وقمعَ مَن خالفهَا"

-وقال عمرُ بنُ مُحمّدٍ في(القَند في ذكر علماء سمرقند)(ص١٧٣):

"هو الّذي أظهر عِلمَ الحديث والآثار، والسُّنة بسمرقند، وذبّ عنها"
