Mehroj Muxtorov is a talented composer and accordionist from Samarkand, Uzbekistan. He studied composition at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, where he completed both his bachelor's and master’s degrees, graduating with honors in 2013.
Since then, he has been sharing his love for music as a teacher at the Samarkand College of Arts, helping students learn solfeggio, music theory, instrumentation, and composition.
Mehroj’s music is performed in schools and competitions across Uzbekistan. His works include pieces for orchestra, folk instruments, voice, piano, and accordion. Over the years, he has received several awards, including 1st place in the “DSCH” student composers competition dedicated to Shostakovich.
I’ve always appreciated the lovely melodies in his music and his natural feel for classical style. Being quite fond of waltzes myself, I reached out to him for the project after hearing his beautiful waltzes.
It was a real delight that he chose one of my waltzes to arrange. His version for flute and piano has already been performed at several concerts, which is truly heartwarming.
I invite you to listen the waltz "Blooming flowers ", beautifully arranged by Mehroj Muxtorov for Flute and Piano
