در حال حاضر فقط 300 ساعت ویدیو در هر دقیقه تو یوتیوب آپلود میشه، و با توجه به سرعت انفجاری تولید محتوای پیکسلی در اینترنت، انسان از بررسی این ویدیوها، جهت خلاصه سازی، استخراج اطلاعات مفید، فیلترینگ و ... عاجزه، 85 درصد اینترنت هم محتوای تصویری یا پیکسلی است، امروزه برای تحلیل ، نظارت و ... این محتوا اهمیت درک خودکار این تصاویر و ویدیوها توسط کامپیوتر و در نتیجه بینایی کامپیوتری انکار ناپذیر شده.
