🔹این سحابی در آسمان شب نیم‌کره جنوبی بسیار برجسته است. در یک شب صاف، می توان آن را به راحتی با چشم غیرمسلح به عنوان یک لکه تاریک، خالی از ستارگان، در کنار صلیب جنوبی در صورت فلکی قله مشاهده کرد.
