Нашел интересную издательскую серию по истории Европы от Penguin Books — The Penguin History of Europe. Увы, кроме Wickham'а, авторы мне совершенно незнакомы, поэтому не могу ни рекомендовать, ни наоборот, но есть надежда что редактор серии не взял в компанию к Викхаму некомпетентных. Со временем буду прогрызаться.
