ولذلك يقول عز وجل: {أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنسَانُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى}، أي أن يترك يهيم يفعل ما يريد ويذهب أينما يريد بلا أوامر وشريعة.
ونقول أيضا: ذهبت حياته سُدى أي ضاعت حياته هائما فيها من غير فائدة.
