【英國內政部向港援成員批出人道主義保護】

感謝英國內政部授予港援多名成員的居留資格，並於今天 (9/8) 向其中一名成員批出人道主義保護。

香港的執政政權對人民的打壓及迫害已造成人道災難。內政部基於聯合國難民地位公約、歐洲人權公約等準則批出有關庇護結果，顯示岀香港民族所遭受的處境在法律上已符合庇護的定義，並會置入參考案例。

另外亦感謝英國政府收集意見、推出不同政策及執行嚴格審查用以確保港人能安全而不受迫害地在英國安置。

與此同時，港援Hong Kong Aid 留意到有不少在英尋求庇護的港人於等候超過六個月仍未獲得庇護結果，並未未達到內政部所定之預期進度。在此期望內政部加快處理尋求庇護的個案進度，確保受難港人在受保障下得到適切協助。

Earlier, crypto enthusiasts had created a self-described “meme app” dubbed “gm” app wherein users would greet each other with “gm” or “good morning” messages. However, in September 2021, the gm app was down after a hacker reportedly gained access to the user data. Among the requests, the Brazilian electoral Court wanted to know if they could obtain data on the origins of malicious content posted on the platform. According to the TSE, this would enable the authorities to track false content and identify the user responsible for publishing it in the first place. Ng Man-ho, a 27-year-old computer technician, was convicted last month of seven counts of incitement charges after he made use of the 100,000-member Chinese-language channel that he runs and manages to post "seditious messages," which had been shut down since August 2020. During a meeting with the president of the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) on June 6, Telegram's Vice President Ilya Perekopsky announced the initiatives. According to the executive, Brazil is the first country in the world where Telegram is introducing the features, which could be expanded to other countries facing threats to democracy through the dissemination of false content.
