بدیع‌الزمان فروزانفر از بزرگترین ادیبان، شاعران، پژوهشگران و استادان ادبیات فارسی در سده چهاردهم و پانزدهم خورشیدی بود.نام اصلی عبدالجلیل بشرویه‌ای و در سال ۱۲۷۶ خورشیدی در بشرویه به دنیا آمد. او با آثار ارزشمند خود، به غنی‌سازی ادبیات فارسی کمک شایانی کرد. فروزانفر با نگاهی نو و تحلیلی به ادبیات کلاسیک فارسی، راه را برای پژوهش‌های بعدی در این زمینه هموار کرد.
فروزانفر از مفاخر ادبی ایران است که نام او همواره با ادبیات فارسی گره خورده است.
