لمَّا ماتَ رسولُ اللّه، اعتزلَ بلال بن رباح الأذان، فكلَّما سألوه أن يؤذِّن لهم قال': ماتَ صاحبي !
فلمَّا فُتحت الشَّام واجتمع نفرٌ كثيرٌ من الصَّحابة مع سيِّدنا عمر بن الخطَّاب، فاقَهم الشَّوق موازينه لسماعِ نداء بلال، فقام إليه أبو عبيدة وقال': أذِّن يا بلال فاليومُ نصرٌ وفتحٌ للمُسلمين!
فلمَّا قام بلال وقال "الله أكبر . .الله أكبر" ما بقيٰ أحدٌ كان أدركَ رسُول اللّه وبلالٌ يؤذِّن له إلا وبكى شوقًا لرسولِ الله، وكان عمر أشدّهم بكاء . .
فلمَّا وصلَ بلال "أشهدُ أن مُحمدًا رسولُ الله" غُشِي عليه وضجَّت المدينة بالبكاء . .
"وما فَقَدَ الماضُونَ مِثلَ مُحَمّدٍ ولا مثلهُ حتى القيامة يفقدُ." (ﷺ) 💗
