رئیس‌جمهور ایران قانون مصوب مجلس برای تعلیق همکاری با آژانس بین‌المللی انرژی اتمی را برای اجرا ابلاغ کرد؛ قانونی که زمان‌بندی و جزئیات نحوهٔ تعلیق در آن مشخص نشده اما می‌تواند امکان نظارت بازرسان آژانس بر برنامهٔ هسته‌ای ایران را بیش از پیش محدود کند.
در این قانون که مسعود پزشکیان روز چهارشنبه ۱۱ تیر آن را برای اجرا ابلاغ کرد، دولت مکلف است «بلافاصله هرگونه همکاری» با آژانس را تا «تأمین امنیت مراکز و دانشمندان هسته‌ای» و «حصول اطمینان» از رعایت کامل حق غنی‌سازی اورانیوم به حالت تعلیق درآورد.
