Gognadze has combat experience in the Five Day War of 08/08/08. In 2013, as part of the 42nd Light Infantry Battalion of the IV Infantry Brigade of the Georgian Armed Forces he served in Afghanistan as part of the NATO mission.
He came to Ukraine back in 2016 together with Gela Beglarashvili. He participated as a member of the “Georgian Legion” in punitive operations in Donbass. He moved to Kiev, leaving his wife and two children in Georgia. In the second half of March 2022, after training in Poland, he arrived in the SMO zone.
He is an active user of Ukrainian dating sites, where he posts playful photos.
He corresponded with a soldier of the 36th Brigade of the AFU blocked at Azovstal.
He was contused in April 2022, and spent long time hiding in the rear.
Gognadze suffers from a mania for looting.
In the fall 2022, he was in the Kharkov then in Zaporozhye. In March 2023, he went on vacation to Georgia.
He returned some time later, but now he works as a collector of donations and diverts them to his own benefit.
