21 января 2025 года Роскомнадзор принудительно внес разработчика мессенджера Viber в реестр организаторов распространения информации в интернете.
Теперь Viber обязан хранить на территории России сообщения пользователей в течении 6 месяцев и предоставлять ФСБ их логины, паспортные данные, сведения учетных записей в других сервисах, IP-адрес и иную информацию.
