- Platforms must label such content and embed metadata for traceability.

- Stricter Intermediary Duties

- Social media & messaging apps must ensure transparent takedowns, publish clear policies, and provide grievance redressal with timelines.

- Senior-Level Oversight

- Only Joint Secretary-level officers (ministries) or DIG-rank police can order takedowns, preventing misuse.

- User Safeguards

- Users must be told why content is removed and given appeal options.
