Ранее общая площадь природных пожаров в России оценивалась в 2 907 гектаров. За 28 апреля в российских регионах удалось ликвидировать 170 очагов возгорания на общей площади 4 497 гектаров

Сейчас наибольшая площадь пожаров зафиксирована в Курганской области — 3 358 гектаров. Крупные очаги возгораний в Амурской и Тюменской областях, а также в Туве, Хакасии, Бурятии и Красноярском крае
